TEACHING VIBE

What brought you to yoga? We love a good origin story.

My Mom had Parkinsons and Alzheimers and a friend suggested I try a yoga class to help with the stress. Once I stepped onto my mat I knew I had found my sanctuary. This was a place where I could just be and not stress. I started with one class a week and then 5 classes a week. I reconnected with my mind, body and spirit, shed an incredible amount of weight and knew I wanted to learn how to share this ancient practice with others. I took my first 200 hour certification and the journey to teaching began.

How would you describe your teaching flow?

My teaching style is mindful, with breathe and body awareness. Strengthening the body, while relaxing the mind and bringing the spirit alive. I believe Yoga is for Every Body. I infuse Reiki energy into all of my classes.

Music Preferences? What is always on your playlist? Favorite artist?

I have a eclectic mix ranging from Snatam Kaur to India Arie.

What was your most memorable yoga experience?

Co-teaching a yoga class at my own yoga studio with my son, who is an amazing yoga teacher and a May 2018 BC Law Graduate.

Any teacher shoutouts? Favorite yoga teacher?

Jojo Reger (Slow Flow Jo), Joanne can bring you into an amazing place without you even realizing how you got there.

FAVORITES

Teaching Yoga on the Beach. So magical to teach outside with the sand, sounds and smell of the ocean and the sky above.
A great cup of decaff espresso.
The ocean for it's meditative yet powerful energy.
Loring Cinema Hingham. Love the nostalgia of this quaint little theatre where I watched my first big screen movie as a child.
