What brought you to yoga? We love a good origin story.

My journey to yoga began after struggling for many years with depression, chronic fatigue, migraines, insomnia, and extreme stress. My body, mind, spirit, and soul needed profound calming, centering, and relaxation. After my first yoga class, my mind was clear and open, my body’s tension had subsided, and I felt that there was healing that could be done on my mat.

How would you describe your teaching flow?

Asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation techniques are personalized for my students so they can be guided through a journey of self-discovery to promote healing, restore balance and increase vitality. My aim is for students to maintain an optimum state of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being – on and off the mat. I specialize in yoga for emotional wellness.

Music Preferences? What is always on your playlist? Favorite artist?

I love light instrumental music in the background, just enough to feel at ease; nothing too chaotic, loud, or distracting.

What was your most memorable yoga experience?

My most memorable yoga experience was after a intensely deep class; the serenity and peacefulness I felt deep within my heart during savasana was life-altering.

Any teacher shoutouts? Favorite yoga teacher?

My favorite teachers are skilled and comprehensive in their yoga practice and share their love of the practice generously with their students. They speak kindly, offer a practice that resonates with what I need, and lead an overall beautiful class.

FAVORITES


My favorite way to experience joy is through being playful with a dog (tug-of-war, frisbee, tossing a ball, etc).
I love my meditation altar and at-home yoga space because it's inspiring and calming. The space is a representation of who I am within my essence.
My favorite place to be is near a body of water (lake, ocean, stream) because the sound of the water relaxes me.
I love personal growth workshops and trainings with the Pathways Institute because I value personal growth and transformation.
