What brought you to yoga? We love a good origin story.
When I lived in Vail, CO a friend introduced me to the Yoga for Athletes Studio and I was hooked. It was the prefect time for me to get serious about my wellness and spirituality
How would you describe your teaching flow?
I prefer to move, so Vinyasa over Yin for sure but not yogaerobics. I am very focused on making sure you're warmed up for what we are going to do and on your alignment. I talk a lot about the muscles we are using in order to be able to get into and hold the postures. I want to make sure you're safe.
Music Preferences? What is always on your playlist? Favorite artist?
I love music period. I will always play fun stuff, new and old. Something with a great beat. Right now I'm loving Amos Lee and Van Morrison but I love St. Paul + the Broken Bones,English Beat, Bonnie Raitt, Lake Street Dive, Leon Bridges. So much great music out there!
What was your most memorable yoga experience?
Making a crazy connection with Seane Corn during her Vinyasa teacher training.
Any teacher shoutouts? Favorite yoga teacher?
Kim O'Brien is incredibly original, genuine, unique and always challenging.
FAVORITES
Swimming in the ocean. I love to be underwater, swimming, exploring. It's the best feeling to me. You're completely free.
Playing with dogs and cats. They are so sweet, precious, always in a good mood and ready for fun and love you unconditionally.
Skiing. It's like flying!! So much fun. I love snow and cold weather just as much as warm.
