Yoga Fundraiser for Malawi Children's Mission

A note from Jen
I have such gratitude for my life that it creates a desire to want to serve my community and beyond. Karen Hirsh, a Scituate resident and friend, who works for the mission, has inspired 16 people from Scituate to join her in Malawi this June. This is an incredible opportunity that is not lost on me. Opportunity is a gift. My son, Matthew, along with Cindia Norton and her son will be on the journey to Malawi. This mission is an orphanage and school servicing 150 orphans. Duties for us vary from teaching reading to school age children, building/fixing homes, providing medical services, goal setting with young women, and teaching the healing art of yoga. There are many different causes in the world that need our attention and funding. We can only do what we can do. Every dollar makes a difference and is deeply appreciated. How to Help
- Join us for class!!!!! This special 2 hour restorative class will also include Malawian food for tasting at the end of class. The $50 donation will go towards traveling expenses for the 2 Murphys & the 2 Nortons. Space is limited so sign up today by clicking on the button below.
- If you can not make class and would like to make a donation to our travel expenses you can write a check to Jen Murphy or Cindia Norton and we will pool all funds. Checks can be left at Studio 143.
- Matt Murphy & Liam Norton are joining a group of teens who will be fixing up homes in the area. These homes are the homes of the orphans' guardians. These teens are raising money for the materials needed to fix homes. You can contribute to their fundraising by going to Willie Alvord's Go Fund Me Page.
